also from Belfast, and well acquainted with the Duke (some even contributing to the album, I believe)

Saw LEYA play supporting KUBB. LEYA made KUBB look like amateurs! LEYA were amaaaaazing that night- I was visiting a friend in Manchester and we went just to see LEYA:) KUBB were just embarrassing to be honest......LEYA on the other hand were just beaming with passion and Ciaran- the singer- is THE REAL DEAL- a true star. His voice is wonderful and indeed powerful- the band blew my mind.I have no idea why they aren't more well known- like the DUKE, I guess- there is no justice in the world....although hopefully appearing on Jools Holland's show will open many more doors.......

Sadly, I must report that Leya have (amicably) called it a day. :(

Shame Belfast never took to this superb band even a 10th of the way it has to Duke (who knows the guys and will be gutted too).

Thanks for the ride Ciaran, Michael, Hammy and Gareth....the craic was 90  !

Yeah, I was sad when I heard about the break up of this band. I thought they were brilliant live myself. :( Tis such a pity. I wish them the very best of luck for the future with their music careers and hope to hear about them again.
