Limerick gig June the first

Hi,

As I stated elsewhere, I'm from the U.S. but saw Duke on holiday in Limerick on 1/6/06. I couldn't stay the whole night due to other obligations but saw a good part of Duke's set. It was truly brilliant, as were the Amazing Pilots who opened the show.

It was at a smallish club whose name escapes me now, but it was a great setting to see such a rising talent.

Yes it was Dolan's! Great venue...too bad I live about 3,000 miles (5,000 km :D ) away.

Dolan's is where I saw Duke Special first, supporting The Bellies (I've seen them about 50 times in the past few years, bordering on the obsessive I know :oops: )

Did you come over from Shrewsbury especially to see them?

I did, had a weekend in Limerick!
Been over to Dublin a few times to see them and Cork and Clonakilty too...can't beat combining your favourite bands with a weekend away! I've been to pretty well all of the UK dates they've done as well, someone help me!

Dont ask me how i remember this but were you with the girls who brought them the cactus?It could have been a different group of people though.

Oh God, I remember them too, I was stood by them at the front during the gig, they were a tad over excited!
I'm sadly more than twice their age!
