Heya,
Just a quick question - are the box sets actually physically numbered? I thought they were, but I had a quick look and couldn't find a number on mine anywhere... :?

Mine has "183/500" written by hand in blue marker in the lower right-hand corner on the back of the box. Maybe they were limiting them and now they aren't? I don't care, really, although it would be cool to have a LTD edition of this!

Hmm...looks like I might have an ultra-rare/fake copy!
yup, I must have a 'fake ' too!
I think they forgot to number some of the first ones posted out! Try PMing Dukester - he may well be able to give you an authentic number
They seemed to be numbering them as they went along at the Newcastle gig a few weeks back - Duke noticed mine wasn't numbered, then borrowed my pen and ran off to the merch stall to hand-number some copies :)
I just had a look, mine doesn't have a number anywhere... :o

My first reaction was going to be "one can only hope", but then I realised that that would imply that I'd ever consider selling it... ;) :)
hmm, mine is unnumbered and i got it yesterday from reveal records in derby - i dont know how long it had been there for though

I was the first from the queue on the first date in the empire to go to the merch stall..... does that mean im number one?
Bear in mind my box was not numbered at all?!?!

Probably not, cos I'm sure the Dukester's friends and family might have nabbed some first ;) :)

True bill.
To be honest im not really fussed about the numbering, but it would be nice to know which set you did get as an overall thing...

I understand the whole intimate thing about the numbering...
Is it really that important?
I'm a huge vinyl collector, but the numbers don't really mean alot to me anymore.

Not really...
It only really matters when the artist breaks it big and suddenly an extra 10000 are knocked up and you want to be able to prove you have one of the originals.

Does that mean that your going to sell yours once it reaches a good price? :P

not in my case...
It's just a case of being able to tell a reall box set from a fake in the future.
What'd be handy would be a register (as it were) on the site or something of who has what bx...
For example if my box was, say, number 12 and somebody turned up on ebay in the future if a load more are knocked up and puts "i've got number 12" you can poke them in the eyes with a stick.

depends on what we call a good price...... :!:
.....and you should know that is a joke, the message on the inside of my box (matron!) makes it practically impossible to sell anyway....
...no idea of the number of ours tho, it's not very significant, altho my mate Justin got a top 10 one hand picked by Duke and that kinda winds me up (and so does he - about the box set, that is)

I got mine in Manchester - 23/500.

I bought mine long ago at some gig in the Spirit Bar, in Ireland (I think it was then .. although my memory is a little hazy on the matter .. could have been one of the numerous London gigs I've been to. Anyway, I'm fairly sure it was before the second run had been produced. Have inspected carefully and there is no number that I can see.I believe that there was a first run of 500, and when things started to take off, a second run of 500 were produced.
As far as I can tell they were not initially numbered, so if you have one that is not numbered it is likely to be from the first batch - but don't take this as gospel!

I wouldn't say most of the first batch where not numbered...
If you where lucky enough to have one that isn't numbered you are blessed in my opinion. I don't like the fact that everyone has these numbers and thinks that there is a meaning to them, just count yourself lucky that if you've got one... you one of a thousand! (previously 500)
I only ordered mine a couple of days ago, thinking that maybe these things were brand new. My order has been accepted, and the site shows them as available - so should I still receive one?

Mine is number 31/500, bought at the Newcastle Uni gig back in May.

I hope so, mate. I ordered one on 5th Feb, but nothing's turned up yet. I hope that they don't all get sold at the gigs - I'd have bought one at the Liverpool gig if I'd known.

Do the box sets count towards album sales ie chart position?
Anyone that's ordered one recently will get one, but not sure when. I asked about them at the Manchester gig last night. Apparently, they've left plenty at HQ so they won't all be sold at gigs. Phew!
