I've booked tickets for the London date of the Divine Comedy tour seeing as Duke is support!

I saw Divine Comedy in May and it was an excellent show - not quite up to Duke's standard  but it will be a great double bill anyways!

How great is that! The Duke finally coming back to Germany. Already booked a ticket for Cologne. Maybe I will make it to another date as well... :D

is the duke definitely supporting DC? I thought the email said European dates, so I thought that might not include the UK?

Support slots are generally about 30 mins, 45 if you're lucky.
A lot of acts don't even get 30 mins...

I already had my tickets for Neil Hannon and finding out that the Duke was supporting was fantastic!!!

I cannot wait. Two of my favourite acts on the same bill. It will be awesome! (At the very least)

Anyone else going to the Glasgow show?

Very excited. Saw Divine Comedy at the Wulfrun in Wolverhampton a few months back. Very good (cheese). This time round at Warwick Arts Centre (its in Coventry! in the middle of a uni campus) where I haven't seen any music before but have seen Lee Mack and Dave Gorman there. All seated auditorium which makes me wish I had known earlier to try and get tickets nearer the front.

DC are a lot more acoustic and should go well with the symphonic DS stuff.

Just bought two tickets for the Mandella Hall gig..... however this always seems to get my goat.

To be honest I think its just my hatred for ticketmaster.

On the Divine Comedy website, it says that the tickets for the mandella hall gig should be ?18 (?12.50)... however when it comes down to it on ticketmaster they are ripping the hole out of it by charging firstly ?21 for each ticket and then adding ?2.75 on top of that for the service charge.

What is going on?

Sounds like an issue you should take up with your ticket seller. I could get oursr from Newcastle Uni as their booking fee is only 25p - I think - but I buy from a record shop in Durham where their fee is just a pound. Don't mind this for the sake of convenience, ie. I can just call at the shop and get them.
Could you try an alternative source for the tickets?

Well on the Devine Comedy website it states the link to ticketmaster right under the dates and also has text stating that the tickets are only ?18 (?12.50).

Ticketmaster arn't selling them for 12.50 though.... they are selling them for 21 quid before service charges!

Maybe im just to tired after a long day in work.

Miserable, money-grabbing gits.
That must be the difference between a commercial venue and a Uni.
Sorry you've had a long day. Mine started at 5.30am....I slept in!
G'night!

while we on the subject of ripping off- why do we have to pay booking and serviuce charge PER ticket? surely it should be just per transaction! its not as if booking 4 tickets makes more work for them! thats 3 booking fees- for nothing! gits.

Found these - on sale to public so no need to be a student, price incuding booking fee, still works out cheaper than ticketmasters starting price...:0)
