This ones for the Duke to think about.
I am only back from a German festival there yesterday and with taking nearly 12 hours to get home via buses, trains, planes and taxi's i had ample time to listen to my ipod. While going through the songs i came across one that just hit me as a brilliant Duke cover....
Cyndi Lauper - True Colours
Give it a try guys and let me know what you think.... (just imagine it as if Mr.Special was singing it himself)

Guinness - may be best to cancel my compilation CD - if it's gonna be full of dodgy 80s tunes .....

:!: Your CD's made, but it's just been hectic trying to get to a posty due to being in Germany... Sorry!
I'm sending it today...
S'alright - I wasn't hassling you...
I look forward to it - may have to skip the Cyndi Lauper tracks though...

If Duke was going to do a Cyndi Lauper song, I'd suggest either the Jules Shear-penned "All Through the Night" or the one she co-wrote with Jules Shear, "Steady."

Well Sneaky, have you ever heard "Steady"? It's a great song..and while I'm not a huge Cyndi Lauper fan, I am a fan of Jules Shear who wrote/co-wrote both songs. Also, I'd bet Duke would like Jules, cuz not only is he a great songwriter, he was also involved with Aimee Mann --one of Duke's faves--for a few years.
Just FYI
By the way, how's that compilation coming?
