That's excellent! I'm sure Duke will be winning a few more fans on this tour.

Perhaps we'll get some feedback on the Beautiful South gigs on here too....

Yep, just got another new fan here. Went to see Beautiful South in Derry last night and wasn't sure what was happening when Duke put on the gramaphone. But, after a few seconds of him starting to sing I was hooked. It was a brilliant night - The Beautiful South were excellent, and I managed to see a support act that were amazing. I must be the newest fan (less than 24 hours at the minute).

Welcome socleirigh, we were all a bit excited that Duke had got supports with BS & DC but we're also a little concerned that he's gonna go global when the album is out and we won't quite so select!

Did his merch go down well, is he elling the box set, did you see?

Thanks for the welcome. Didn't see any box sets, but I was first to put my name down for the mailing list, then decided not to wait to be added and went straight online this morning and signed up. I think you're right, there's every possibility he could go global.

Hi

I've just completed the 8 day tour of Ireland with TBS.

Duke Special were brilliant. One of the forum members from the TBS site had raved about how good Duke Special were and he was right. From the first performance in Cork it was obvious that Duke is on the edge of something specail.

Duke and Chip both spent plenty of time with fans and because we were doing the whole tour kept bumping into them at sound-checks and the occasional coffee shop.

Merchandise has been selling well and I managed to get a box set. The new album was not on sale and Duke asked people to purchase through record shops to help chart positions.

I would certainly go and see them again.

Whilst doing the tour I completed a blog and gave the band a couple of mentions. I was also lucky enought to get a photo-pass at Waterford - I will post some photos when I get chance.

Congratulations on a well organised and interesting website.

Hiya,

As Dublinram stated Duke has certainly gained alot of fans from the TBS tour. We have seen a good few support bands over the years but Duke Special has to be one of the best. He put on a great performance on all 8 nights and was a pleasure to listen to. There are few support bands that will get me parting with my pennies, but I bought the album and will be watching for more gigs in the future.

Top tour and top band :)

We had a great time touring, made alot easier by a decent support - incidently Duke changed the set list mid tour - apparently because they were getting bored!

Any images of the 'playing cards' that are being handed out to promote the album? Or are they just for the DC tour?

Are you talking about the playing cards with the Bear on them and it says a "D" in the letter space?

I might be able to get you an image of them...
