All Over Irish Radio :)

Everytime I turn on the radio these days (which is rare enough) Duke seems to be mentioned. Today FM and 2FM are both playing Portrait and Last NIght I Nearly Died regularly... and even Dave Fanning mention him on Friday night. I didnt catch what was played or if anything was played, just tuned in at the end when Dave was chatting about the novelty of releasing on vinyl!!

Just heard that there was an article in a local Kilkenny newspaper this wkend as well!!

Its great cos now when someone asks me what Im listening to I dont have to explain, you're famous now!! Sooooo well deserved :)

Perhaps we can turn the Where's Duke? thread into a place for people to post photos of Duke and Chip in various tourist locations around Europe as they progress on the Divine Comedy tour instead! :wink:

My ipod battery died which usually makes Sian sad. I was standing in a shop when the dude on Cool FM starts talkin about Snow Patrol and the 21st gig...So then he says about the fantastic support the Patrol have lined up, includin local man Duke Special...and then they played a live version of "Something Might Happen" he recorded in the Cool FM studios!

Think the dude in Centra thinks I am a bit scary now...I kept walkin round and round the shop til it was over...

listening to today fm at work today, heard duke on national radio for the first time. ray foley show this afternoon played LNIND.Good to hear a couple of texts afterwards like who was that etc. getting there slowly!

For anyone interested.... this guy Mike Knightson, presenter of Limerick Green and Live, promoter of Irish Music and PPI Music Broadcaster of the year 2006 has promised to play FOR ME some old sessions he recorded with Peter on his show this sunday night. I was tryng to convince him to get Peter on again... hint hint cough cough...
