View Full Version : Top Ten Things I Hate

mac

This is a forum for the people right?
I hereby exercise my right to have a Victor Meldrew type rant.
Top Ten Things I Hate (in no particular order)
1. People who wont walk on travelators or escalators and stand in such a way as to prevent anybody else walking past them.
2. People who have "Queueblindness" ( think Bank or Shop Checkout etc.)
3. Ladies who wield their prams and buggies like a weapon of ankle destruction.
4. People who pay a lot of money for concert tickets and then insist on talking loudly throughout the show about shopping etc. Support Bands particulary suffer.
5. Junk Mail
6. Spam
7. Broadband Advertisements. (My area due for broadband availability in 2017)
8. Couples snogging sloppily in the bus seat ahead of you. Endured 4 solid hours of this on a trip to Galway.
9. Dublin Traffic. In particular Ireland's biggest outdoor Car Park ( The M50 )
10. People who moan too much ( oops!)

I Thank You

Many I agree with

1. People who pay money for tickets to a gig then stand in front/behind/beside you talking loudly aboout who is nosgging who [as experienced tonight]

2. People who pay money for tickets to a gig then snog [loudly] throughout. [as experienced tonight]

3. Friends you thought you knew and trusted buying you doubles then offering you coke- not the soft drink. [as experienced tonight]

4. When a girl is walking on her own and fellas make it their aim to shout obscene things loudly, "just for the craic". [as experienced tonight]

5. People who think just because you work in a shop you are an uneducated baffoon and insist on speaking to you as patronisingly as possible. When in actual fact you probobly have more qualifications than them.

6. People you get taken in by, thinking they are genuine when really all they are out to do is get as much out of you as they possibly can.

7. Coming home to an empty, dark and cold house.

8. Needing to speak to your best mate and they don't answer their phone.

9. Losing things.

10. Not being able to sleep when you are exhausted.

[I feel slightly better now for that...I am such a moan  ]

Siano, you win! You're selection puts my petty niggles into perspective.
In an act of contrition I reply with.....
Top Ten Things People Hate About Me (in no particular order)

1. Squeezing toothpaste tubes from the middle.
2. That whole Gemini split personality thing (who said that!)
3. Dirty socks come off wherever whenever and remain where they lie.
4. Listening to old peoples radio stations.
5. Don't put things back where they belong.(In my defence I know exactly where that thing I'm looking for is under that pile of junk)
6. My undertaking of carpentry projects on the kitchen table
7. That whole toilet seat thing  ( Will never get why that is such a BIG deal?)
8. Guilty of never having my mobile phone (.a) with me (b.) turned on
9. My tendency to sulk
10.My fondness for playing very loudly 70's bohemoth rock music (AC/DC Led Zep etc.)

Sadly while I had great difficulty coming up with ten things I hate, this list of things people hate about me has been a piece of cake. In fact I could have easily made it into a Top Thirty
(Adopts cheesy Top Of The Pops style voiceover.........)
And nestling just outside the top ten...

.Avoidance of anything to do with gardening
.Turning the shower to its coldest setting
.Letting things pile up til theres a crisis situation ( this happens on a weekly basis)
. Ignoring bills
. Refusing to open letters that look like bills ( see above )

I could go on but this exercise is confirming to me what a great big useless lump I am and the ego has landed ( with a bang!)

I'm off for a wee lie down.

OMG! You sure we are not the same person??

1. My ability to whittle away hours that I could have been doing something productive playing solitaire with a mate online/trawling through endless random threads on various message boards/talking to ppl I dont need to be talking to online.

This is my day everyday!! I work in an office on my own so I just sit there every day pretending to work and instead spending hours doing totally pointless things online. Drives me crazy but I still do it! I wish I had never found Flickr or boards.ie!

2. My inability to see the bigger picture in things, I am defiately a "micro" aspect girl.

Yes, my friends tell me this all the time!! Yet, I over analyse everything in order to try and appreciate the bigger picture - see point 4!!

5. I dwell on past experiences too much.

Oh dear! Yeah its a tough one aint it. Do you compare everything as well, knowing that every situation is different but you still cant help yourself!! ?

7. I get hurt too easily.

Story of my life! I trust people way too easily, and Im far too open and honest for my own good, consequence... I get hurt, everytime :'( {big hug for siano}

8. I will put myself out for people who have already proved to me they don't deserve to be put out for.

SNAP!

:) Im not going to add the rest cos I'll be here all day!! (actually im not that bad)

Oho! Only 10?
1. Drivers who do not think the speed limit applies to them
2. '40 regardless' drivers which is a phenomenon found only on our country roads who never look at their speedometer but tailgate you through the villages only to be left behind on the 60 stretches but pound through the next village like bats out of hell catching up and tailgating you again.
3. Drivers on their phones
4. Drivers with a phone in one hand and a drink in the other driving an HGV through our village - what the hell are they using to steer?
5. HGV drivers who tailgate along narrow country lanes - I can't see past the next bend - is there a herd of cows there, there might be. Are they possessed of some clairvoyant powers?
6. People who stop to answer their phones in dangerous places - switch the damn thing off or ignore it, I do.
7. Boy racers - too many of them killed around here and they scare me.
8. People who treat me like an idiot when I do a farmers' market - I am not half-witted and my IQ is around 130 at the last count!
9. Being put down for being a woman in a man's world
10. Malicious gossip - get a life :!:

this couldnt be any more my sort of thread.

here goes...

people who shout things at gigs in an effort to be funny.

people who sing along at intimate gigs (duke special, damien rice, regina spektor)

christians/vegetarians who think they have some sort of moral superiority over everyone else

almost everything on commercial radio

whorish little bands who talk about credibility and music like they know anything about either

insanely rich music/movie stars who do adverts

anyone involved in the world of marketing

anyone who publicly talks about their divorce

soaps and daytime tv (especially loose women)

anyone who thinks football is a better sport than rugby

im done thinking for now, more to come no doubt.

As for:

I reserve the right the sing along at Duke Special gigs where appropriate.
People who talk/laugh loudly at intimate gigs, different thing altogether.

I hate :: On trains/busses ? people who make you climb over them in order to reach the empty seat, rather that just moving over onto it.

I hate :: People who don?t say please and thank you ? or smile

I hate :: That the world is turning into big brother/surveillance/we?re going to fingerprint you if you look funny, state and there is nothing I can do about it

I hate :: People who read/are interested in/believe the trashy tabloid press

I hate :: Being rushed

I hate :: When my iPod battery dies, and leaves me listening to screaming children/parents on the train

I hate :: That ?tish tish tish? noise you get from other peoples headphones

I hate :: Arguing with anyone about anything?

I hate :: That often I can?t find the words to say what I want to say, and that the beautiful ideas in my head come out all muddled, and sound the same as everyone else?s

I hate :: Growing up.

I couldnt agree more!!

I have another few to add...

I hate University Work.

I hate that I am lazy with my University Work.

I hate that I have to hand in my Universiry Work soon.

I hate that sometimes I get so lost. I don't know where to turn or who to trust sometimes and I invariably trust the wrong people. Over and over again.

I also still hate the snobby customers who come into Marks and think I am lower than them.

I hate-

Bullying in general. (I just don't tolerate it.)

Narrow minded people

When people don't give up their seats on public transport to the disabled, an elderly person or a pregnant lady....it's just not right.

Sheep (not the cute and woolly kind but people following "the crowd" and not being themselves.)

Drunk girls wearing stilettos (note-extremely dangerous when on dancefloor.)

Clumpy mascara.

The Havard Refencing System in Trinity for our assignments. (do comma's and fullstops really matter??)

The Portaloo's at Oxegen.....(one word-frightening)

Getting up at the crack of dawn for nursing placements when everybody else is snug and warm in their beds.

And last but not least..... I hate when you butter a lovely slice of toast and it always falls onto the counter, butter side down !! Seemingly it's Murphy's Law, " "If something can go wrong, it will...."

jan

I hate it that people are employed to deal with the public who have no interpersonal skills and are given no training in the same.........
Example, today, staggering out of the Co-op laden with shopping and some youngish woman in a kind-of uniform with a utility company badge shouted at me,
'Who does ya gas and electric for yer, flower?'
I make no apologies for saying, 'If I knew what language you were speaking I might be able to help you'..............Is it me? Me, a flower?

Well said Scott...........I was pondering over a reply to such a puerile remark only to discover that you said it first :)
Nobody loves a smart arse Mac :D
Just for the interest I've been doing a garden watched by a squirrel......it's watched me dig up the conkers it has buried and if looks could kill..............sorry Mr or Ms Squirrel but they grow into stonking great trees which have no place in a neat front garden.
Can you explain why my cat recognises Bill Oddy's voice and sits by the TV to watch film of animals? She doesn't bother with any other programmes.
Ask the dog, he/she looks very intelligent!

mac
29-11-2006, 10:37 am
Again, I can only apologise :(
Suzi says hi (or woof!)
She says the attraction of Bill Oddie is his dulcet tones. She watches those nature programmes too but can't see the screen properly.
I have to describe to her what's going on. She would be very annoyed if she found out that I was lying to her all these years.
She keeps asking, is he on the tandem? is he on the tandem? Is Giant Dougal with him?
I say yes Suzi, all is well with the world
(as the cheetah polishes off the remains of the gazelle)

I'm off for a wee lie down now

i dont like animal testing, but there is nothing wrong with eating them, and the smugness of some of my vegetarian friends gets right up my nose. if you want to avoid meat cause you dont like the taste: fine. if you want to avoid meat because you think it will make you a better person: sort it out.

Not offended at all Lander and sorry if your intention was to wind me up....it didn't work :)
The moment when I decided that I would not eat an animal came over 10 years ago and I remember it like yesterday.
I'd cooked a Sunday lunch for my parents, daughter and self of chicken with the usual accompaniments and we'd enjoyed it.
The Sunday papers were at hand and I was idly reading when an article jumped out at me which was an eyewitness account of how a kitten was boiled alive and skinned, still twitching, all for the gratification of someone in Korea whose meal it was to become.
Apparently it tastes like chicken.
That is why i decided that no animal would die in order that I should feed on its flesh and from that moment I have been vegetarian.
It doesn't make feel a better person for being so.
I do feel healthier (details on request).
I do not preach about it but it's what I am and I can still cry for that kitten - one of millions?
And hug my little cat.
I have no quarrel with anyone who eats meat.
I feel happier if the animal in question has been raised on a farm locally, has not had to travel far to the point where it dies and it has died with the minimum of stress and with a degree of dignity, which is usually the case if meat is obtained from a farmers' market and that is why I support them.
What carnivores need to address is the wefare of animals which provide their food.
If someone has addressed the welfare, transport and humane issues and is still happy to eat meat then that's OK with me.
xx

Excactly Jan, couldn't agree more :)

No one was promoting vegetariansm here in the first place, in fact it was mocked and trivialised earlier and Jan is now defending her belief and right not to eat animals :?

I myself am a vegetarian because I educated myself on the treatment of animals prior to and during slaughter.
Productivity appears to be the only concern during animal processing. The welfare of the animal on its way to its death is of little concern. Stuffing as many animals into lorries as possible, kicking and dragging them about when they don't move fast enough or are too stressed to move at all.
As for the slaughter process itself, I'm not sqeamish in the slightest but animals regularly fail to be rendered unconscious by the stunning process and are often dispatched fully conscious and in view of each other.
The entire process is inhumane and only concerned with maximising productivity.

I simply took a minute to examine my conscience, if I'm going to claim to be an animal lover and have pets etc then I can't eat meat?? - I can no longer contribute to the death of animals in order to fill a space on my plate.

Mac and Lander, take a trip to your local abbatoir, meet your meat, watch the process from start to finish then come back here and feel free to shout about the rights and wrongs of eating meat.

Guinness
30-11-2006, 2:09 am
Wow, is that really why you became a vegetarian?

That is a very extreme thing and I honestly think you are the bigger person for doing it.

And yes it is true that most people don't care about where the meat comes from so long as it gets on their plates for breakfast every saturday morning when it's sleep-in time.

I know that I should probably take action due to me knowing how they treat animals when going to the slaughter however I do LOVE my bacon butties in the morning and I don't think anything will change that.

More power to your elbow all those who are vegetarian/vegan for that very reason! Hats off to you sir!

me: so what is this bushmeat?

me: yes but what kind of meat?
waiter: good meat...
me: i'm sure it is good but what does it come from?
waiter: animals!

i will make a point of avoiding my local abbatoir, lest it ruin my love for meat.

each meal should contain a healthy balance of each.

seriously though, i just like winding vegetarians up, because they are a minority, and i am a bastard.

i've had too many arguments with veg folk who believe they have the moral high ground because they 'dont partake in the slaughter of animals', conveniently overlooking the fact that thousands of animals are killed by harvesters etc, and those animals arent even eaten. then i call them hypocritical pricks, and run away giggling.

I can't really say ANYTHING on this topic as I was a vegetarian for like 4 months, ate quorn, chicken AND fish..and only went off red meat. Which kind of defeats the whole purpose! :?

I think it takes a lot of courage and will power and integrity to follow through on something like that. If there is one thing that bugs me it is these people who do the whole "oh that's terrible" and then go off and do a variation of what they proclaimed to be so immoral!

People who show their principles through their actions and don't just talk about it have my full respect!

I would love to become a veggie, just cos I don't like the taste of meat. I am just too bloody lazy!

I do so agree with a lot of your list, especially when people won't return a friendly greeting...what does it cost dammit? You start thinking 'What have I done to offend them' and stuff like that.
Just a last word on the whole veggie bit.........well I'm a woman aren't I :D ........it's funny how people call themselves veggie but overlook the fact that chickens and fish are living creatures too. Veggies eat NO products of killing animals and that includes gelatine which is made from their bodies.
Was it Dave Allen who said the Irish idea of an 8 course meal was 7 pints of giunness and a baked potato?

Ya nothing worse than that in the morning.

I admire your honesty Conor :)
I must admit I had the same thoughts at the time I made the choice to stop eating meat. I was unsure if I could carry it through, unsure what I would live on?? (I wasn?t a big vegetable lover back then) I knew it was going to be life altering decision but the need to no longer be responsible for the atrocious welfare and slaughter of an animal was overwhelming.
Yes in a way it is a little extreme, but the decision was made for me. If I ever had a reason to doubt what I was doing I only needed to remind myself where meat comes from.
Watching this was a good reminder:
http://www.petatv.com/tvpopup/Prefs.asp?video=meet_your_meat

Most try to disassociate the item in the polystyrene and cling packaging in the supermarket with the animals in a field.
Meat is not grown in a ?Hamburger Patch? and picked by Ronald McDonald as McDonalds would have children believe. Apparently explaining the ?real? origin of meat is not very appetising? Don?t want to ruin the kids? appetites do we!?

My heart still sinks every time I pass the local abbatoir, I know what is going on inside under that roof. The cattle lorries on the way there pass me on the road and I see the pink wet noses poking out the grills on the side, confused and stressed.
I?m definitely not a bigger or better person for becoming a vegetarian; it?s simply a matter of being able to live with myself. Being veggie is the least I can do, hats off to vegans, that takes real effort, will power and planning.

Each to their own though as Claire says, for me it was, and will remain a very personal choice.
I don?t like preaching about it or hoping that I can convert others; in fact I rarely talk about it and am only doing so here now following the comments that were made.

Quite cool to read that Peter feels the same :)

Returning to the veggie discussion, I found this a few weeks ago, really made me think. If you're concerned where your meat is coming from and making decisions based on what you think is happening to the animals, then look at this:

http://observer.guardian.co.uk/foodmonthly/story/0,,1388571,00.html

I live on an organic farm, we do eat the beef we produce, it goes to a local abbatoir and apparently Tescos organic range. I try to always buy free range chicken- we have a couple of hens and a cockerel in our garden and you can see how happy they are. I totally am against the intensive madness that produces the Ross Cobb chicken that cannot stand up and is so obese it's infertile. Did you know that the breeding stock are starved so that they are fertile? And equally for pork products I buy free range at the least. I appreciate organic is often v expensive and freerange can sometimes be as good as as the farmers can't afford to 'convert' to organic, or still want the options of treating with antibiotics etc. It is a minefield, but yesterday I was digging up our veg plot for the first go in this house at growing our own, until then I have an organic box of veg and try to buy everything else locally. BTW we are not 'loaded' so I buy little and carefully and try not to throw anything away. Just what I do buy I try to make choices. And I have to say organic from a local grower DOES taste 10x better than organic from a supermarket. Supermarkets supply forced unripe food with little flavour and the vitamin content must be sooo low!!

I think I only have 5 things that I really hate...

1) Injustice - of all types. People have a right to be treated with dignity and respect and I get really angry when it is doesn't happen.

2) Being lonely. This is quite strange because I enjoy my own company, often spending my saturdays in town just walking on my own, disappearing from the world. But I don't like being lonely and there is nothing lonlier than coming home to an empty flat at night after a hard days work, or being away on business. You just want someone to talk to, to give you a cuddle and take away the pain. Instead you have four walls and the tv

3) People thinking they know me. Those that think they have me all sussed out, deciding who I am, putting me into a little box and then trying to change me to fit their image of me, squeezing me into the little box they have. I honestly don't think anyone truely knows me - not my family or my closest friends. Sometimes I don't think I even know myself

4) My past. Maybe its more accurate to say that I hate the fact that I have a past. There are certain events that I wish dearly had never happened or that I could erase every memory of but life doesn't work like that - I suppose they make me who I am today.

5) and this one is hard for me to admit - not being in Control! looking at my other hates, maybe this one actually its at the root of the other 4. I also think this is why I am careful about what I drink and how much I drink... I like a little alcohol just not being drunk. I am a control freak. I like order and I don't like time wasting. I am not so bad that I need to permanently be in charge, in fact I quite like people organising me and suprising me. But, I need to feel that I have power over myself. If I want to stop I can. If I want to change I can... the knowledge that I can take over if I want to.

I know - I'm crazy but thats me. Its who I am. Love me or Hate me, just don't try to change me... I'm me, just accept it.

Oh and just thought of a 6th and this really is a pet peeve and source of many a rant - People who talk at gigs! I mean, if you are going to spend money on a ticket why sit and chat to your mates or act like an idiot. If you want to talk, save the money and go to the pub!

Re: the fox hunting debate...

My dad was once the site manager of a large lignite mine near our old home. Every year the local hunt would trespass on to essentially "our" land. I can always remember wanting to go with my dad to get them off and never being allowed until I was aboiut 16/17 and I had formed some pretty strong opinions of it...

That year I got out of the landrover when the head huntsmen (actually a family friend) became aggressive towards my dad who was trying to get them off the mine land. When I got out, one of the huntsmen encouraged his horse to rear up at me. I was 16 for goodness sake. Thankfully, having been round horses a lot I wasn't frightened and gave as good I got.

We held ourselves with dignity which is more than I can see for these pompous arrogant middle class twats who partake in this supposed "sport of dignitaries".

It makes me sick to my stomach to think they can still get away this in the 21st century.

Sorry I went off on one there, its just something very close to my heart. *Sigh*

I didn't want to get involved in this conversation for fear of going off on one, as I usually do. I think it shows what a shitty justice system we have when hunting gets banned, the ban gets ignored, and then those that ignored the ban get nothing but a slap on the wrist. No action taken against them whatsoever, and then the ban was lifted because those that put it in place didn't want to look like they were getting walked all over by the "pompous arrogant middle class twats" (couldn't have put it better Sian) who find torturing defenceless animals fun! I'm ashamed that any members of our society would find this acceptable.

Oh no i feel a big rant coming on......try to hold it in...... Maybe i'll just write a little!:p
My brother works in a pub in our village and one of the customers was telling him how he deals with the hunt.;) Every time he hears them coming he drives his jeep into the middle of the road(its a narrow road!) lifts up the bonnet and pretends to have broken down. They can't get by so they have no other choice but to turn around! Hee hee hee!:D
He was also saying there's something that you can spread on the land that confuses the dogs so they lose the scent! It's a household thing but my brother can't remember what it is. He says he'll find out the next time he's in the pub. I just can't stand the hunt and i love going to the RDS horseshow but me and sister can't understand how crazy the crowd goes when the Cheese Hunt Chase is on. We do be the only ones sitting there scowling and glowering at them while the rest of the crowd does nuts cheering and clapping.
There was also something in the paper yesterday. A picture of two pit bulls that had their ears sliced off.:( Every time i see one of these stories i just get so furious. And the people never get caught. They should get exactly the same done to them as they did to the animals. Then there's all these stories, especially recently, about people starving their animals to death and so on. GRRRRR I want to scream!!! What stupid assholes. God i get so worked up over it. Cruel b**tards!!!:mad::mad:

Oh animal cruelty is one of those topics I just get so emotional about. I had to rush one of our cats to the vet the other day because she was in a lot of pain. I thought her jaw was broken and then my brain started working overtime. Was she hit by a car? Or worse? Did someone kick her?!? I'm relieved to say that neither of the above were the issue in the end, and she's now getting better :), but even the sheer thought of someone deliberately hurting any animal, especially one of my own beloved pets actually reduced me to tears.
I believe that it's only animals that are truely capable of unconditional love. We humans have a lot to learn...

Ok for the first one i must say i was one of those Nirvana fans!:p They are brilliant! I'm not so much any more but they still are a great band-Unplugged in New York album is amazing. Kurt has a beautiful voice.
For the rest i must agree especially the ugg boots. Does anyone else notice that everyone who wears them does be walking completely on the inside of the boot and not the sole anymore?! Its looks like their ankles are broken. And i CAN'T STAND that ridiculous Hollyoaks show or any of them magazines, not just Heat. Although i do watch Friends on E4 most days but that's all and i could watch that show all day and it'd still be funny!

In no particular order...

People using mobile phones in train carriages where they're banned.

People standing at pedestrian crosses for hours because no one has thought of pressing the crossing button.

Smoking, anywhere at any time.

Meat eaters who give me grief for being a vegetarian (I don't do it the other way round!)

People who don't thank you for holding the door open for them.

Swearing in mixed company (though I swear like a trooper when not).

All chav behaviour, especially clubbers who rampage through towns vandalising things, dropping litter and screaming drunkenly at 2am. Drown the lot of them.

THAT Nokia ringtone.

Divas (either lay[wo]men or celebrities).

People who get paid a fortune for holding positions of employment where they do a fraction of the work of the people who are paid half the sum (I know about this...)

Right - that's 10. I could no doubt think of more.

Ok, personal gripe here. I would count myself as being quite academic and mildly intelligent (no doubt, someone here will disagree!! ha) but I LOVE Heat. It is my wee guilty pleasure. I love taking a time out and indulging in the Lohan/Britney/blah blah debacle. It doesn't make me a bad person and neither does it diminish my interest in things like sustainable development, the nuclear power debate and my favourite cause: human rights).

Two more of my hates....

Pavement hoggers- if you're going to walk slow...let others past!!
People in work who only ask you to do things just as you're about to go for lunch or go home!

To care is putting it strongly.

Escapism perhaps?! I know that it is a big contradiction on my behalf as I object strongly to the protrayal of the "perfect woman" in the media and I know that papparazi hunt these celebrities and in turn celebs court the attention, but I cant help being fascinated by the whole idea and world of celebrity.

Ok i just remembered two things i despise that make me really angry and upset and make me hate human beings!

1. Rodeo
2. Bull Fighting

I know they're still under aniaml cruelty which i named in my original list but just how? How can people be so heartless and cruel and find it amusing. The torture and pain they put these animals through. I always find myself wishing the bulls and horses kill them. That may sound harsh but if it came down to it i'd choose animals over humans because they don't know how to be heartless, they just try to survive. Especially the wild horses they use, you can see the sheer fear and panic in their eyes as the b**tards try to ride the hell outta them and break thier free spirits.:mad::mad:

Nicely put Kim.
Most people are aware of bullfighting but rodeo which is still very popular in the US seems to go pretty much unnoticed?? Roping calves and steers as they run from like hell from the 'cowboys' on horseback. If the lasso doesn't break their necks they're pretty much ran to exhaustion.
The more 'cowboys'/redneck freaks that are paralysed or trampled to death during this corrupt 'sport' the better! http://www.dukespecial.com/forums/images/icons/icon14.gif

You know we have a lot in common Kieran! I was looking through a book in Easons the other day on horses. It was mainly just pictures and it had ones from rodeos of the poor calves and of the wild horses. The capturing of the wild horses really gets me. They're meant to be running free in the mountains. But there was one picture of two guys yanking on this rope tied around a wild stallions neck and the look in the horses eyes nearly made me cry right in the middle of the store. It was just fear, panic and anger as he reared up against them. And the looks on the mens faces was nearly worse, just pure evil.:(

I'm in no way a fan of Russell Brand (nor his 6 Music sidekick Trevor Lock), but as someone who's successfully battled with heroin addiction, I think that's an achievement in itself; never mind his addictive personality and his being as successful as he is today.

Irritating, vapid and unfunny as some (myself included) may find him, he's certainly not short of extreme experiences to write about.

okay, must say I really agree with everyone on the people driving slower than the limit on open roads. I really do think its more dangerous than speeding. So frustrating!
Okay I love moaning so here goes:D
1. People that go to gigs, go into the area in front of the stage & get annoyed at people singing & dancing, sometimes moshing along, because they just want to stand there quietly waiting for the one song they know!
2. As above but when couples do it & start snogging on top of it! Why did they even bother going to the gig??
3. People who don't like a musician / band until they are famous & everyone they know also likes them.
4. Having to pay road tax - Anyone who has driven in this part of Donegal would understand this frustration.
5. U2
6. Pop / Karoke type band that sing other peoples songs.
7. Work - Just that we have to do it at all.
8. People use you & try to make the work you've done look like their own work.
9. When you ask for a burger without onions & get it home only to find that there are onions in & it is mixed with the mayonaise, so now you have the onion flavour & no mayo.
10. When things don't go to plan.

Its usually in my local chipper this happens in Gweedore. No matter how much you point out that you don't want onions they still do it, but only when you say it in english... I have tried asking in Irish & each time - no onions! So its the ignorance & bad service really that annoys me I suppose...
