to put a positive spin on this (and i'm outlawing us stating the obvious - wife/husband, bf/gf, duke etc)

1. Peoples faces when they see Duke and Chip for the first time

2. Seeing couples who break the (still prevailant) race barriers

3. My son referencing my music (Clash, Pistols etc)

4. Having photos taken with bands (tho i expect Duke/Hal/Foy/Leya/Futureheads etc don't agree!)

5. Making great friends thro music and forums (Scott, Steve in Belfast  )

6. England winning the Ashes last year

7. Seeing Artists I know on TV and shouting at mates that I know them!!!

8. Walking the dog early Saturday and Sunday, enjoying the park (without chavs)

9. Getting the family together every Xmas and having a good old cry

10. My wife, children, mum, brothers and sisters (couldn't resist, sorry)

Ohhhhh tough one!

This will require some thought.

1. That feeling I get when I sing! *
2. My family. Love when we all get together, which is rare these days.
3. Listening to a piece of music for the very first time and knowing it is going to stay with you for a very long time! (know what i mean!)
4. Meeting new people and getting to know them.
5. My gadgets!! Addicted. Love my camera, mac and of course my soon to be replaced Beetle
6. Playing with my twin nieces
7. Little unexpected things that make you smile and feel warm inside.
8. Taking a really great photo
9. Finding out Im not the only one feeling 'something', you know with significant someones;)
10. Happy memories of all the good times, and looking forward to making more!!

*(oh, and I love how music makes me feel. You know we all have that music that just gets to us.. nothing like it! Lots of Duke on that list for me)

Ahh...this one's harder!!

I have a list as long as yer arm on my myspaz but taking it to down to ten is nearly impossible!!...Here goes...
1. I love being understood, love that feeling you get when you think "Holy hell, someone gets that jumble in my head". Wow.
2. I love being held [that sounds so corny, but not like a dicky hug, full on, proper huggles]
3. I love walking near water
4. I love surprising people who don't expect you to be nice.
5. I love how music can make me cry, make me smile, make me remember people I have loved, hated and lost, make me tingle all over and I especially love it when it makes me [i]feel.
6. I love realising that my world is only a little dot on the face of the universe and if it's that small then the worries I have must be teeny tiny.
7. I love semi-drunken conversations that you wake up in the morning and think "wow...that was amazing..."
8. I love the story about the little boy throwing starfish back into the sea who, when told he wasn't making a difference replied..."I made a difference to that one"...It reminds me of Romania and every little starfish I met there...
9. I love that tingling feeling in your stomach when you see someone you like.
10. Most of all, I love it when I make people smile, even if I have to make myself look like a complete plank to do so! :D

[I also love lists and talking too much but that goes without saying from the above ;)]

I agree Grafton street especially at Christmas is just so beautiful and i love all the buskers and street performers etc.
On the bus to college this morning i was admiring all the gorgeous colours of the trees and thinking how beautiful it was when we reached the clearing that rolls into the forest on the far side. In a car you wouldn't be able to see this because there's a six foot stone wall around it, but there in the middle of the open space was a stag and a doe. Standing about a meter apart just staring at each other in the morning sunlight. I felt so priveleged to have witnessed this moment in all its autumnal glory. :D
And walking through crisp fresh snow is a beautiful experience, especially that sound it makes. Ah nature is amazing!;)

Aren't the buskers just great. There is this pair that play a make shift sort of Xylophone made out of what look like railway sleepers - amazing rhythmic, melodic sounds - makes you actually turn off the i-pod and listen (and thats saying something.
also agree with the lights... and Christmas is comingn;)

GirlAnachronism

I've never seen them.:( Haven't been in town for a while but i'll definitely be in soon doing some Christmas shopping! Yay!:D
Ah walking around town wrapped up in scarves, coats, gloves laughing with your friends with a hot chocolate from Butler's(on Grafton!) admiring the lights and catching snippets of Christmas songs from each diferent store is the best way to spend a winters evening. Well apart from spending a snowy winters night outside!

I was in Grafton Street today and heard the best busker ever... just at the St Stephen's Green end there was this guy playing slide guitar. He was better than brilliant. I must have stood for about an hour and listened. Seriously I was blown away (was also freezing but totally worth it)

There really are some talented musicians out there - makes me very jealous

Thats Niall Lawlor, he's a lovely guy. Saw him first at the Ruby Sessions and then at The Coffee Sessions....

My top ten things I love;

1. Being at gigs/festivals and the chill you get as every single person in the crowd sings every word with genuine passion (ever been to a Damo Dempsey gig anyone? Wow.)
2. When a random little baby smiles at you in the street. Babies amaze me :)
3. When someone you love says something really nice to you and your heart feels all full up and you cant stop smiling.
4. Giving people presents.
5. When you get drenched outside in the rain and come home, put on your jammies and cuddle up in front of the fire.
6. When you get talking to someone you know only a little bit and realise that you have a real connection and could talk for hours.
7. Laughing till your tummy hurts and making other people laugh.
8. Music Music Music
9. Walking on the beach.
10. Meeting up with old friends and recounting the great memories youve shared together.

And since everyone else broke the rules;
11. The fact that Maurice can still give me shivers when he plays live (even though I hear him practising every day) and when he gets off the stage I get to tell him how proud I am of him.

a) they present you with duke tickets
b)followed a week later by rod stewart tickets
c) they drag along to duke, not really knowin what to expect,
d) they come out converted and ask you to make them a cd for the car!!

and also when they do random things like make dinner(very rare), apart from that they stink!!! :D :0

My top ten things I love;

1. Being at gigs where the whole crowd is like one huge unity and singing along to everyword. (Duke, Foy, Snow Patrol or good ol' Feeder or REM). If I could bottle that feeling I'd be a millionaire.)
2. Working at the BBC.
3. Being cheery. And making people laugh. And laughing til its too painful to go on.
4. Sitting at the lights in my car staring at all the buildings I either love or hate and reinventing them in my head.
5. Bumping into someone I havent seen in aaages and having a really good natter in the middle of town.
6. When its bucketing down and freezing wind is whipping the skin of my face, I love getting into my car and turning the heater on a full.
7. Walking along the beach and daring to go into the sea, even in the winter.
8. Big bear hugs
9. A nice pint of Magners. Especially if someone buys it for me.
10. It may be totally out of character for me, but when I hear the new take that song I think of cosy nights complete with fireside. Perfect feeling during the winter days.

Can I have an extra one?

11. When the friend I hardly ever see sits me down for a good chat and shares all our old memories and then looks at me for just a second, as something other than just a friend.

Flackmeister

Donegal.
