Tickets are now available from ticketweb...
Apparently people on here really should be interested...
xxxx
I bought a couple of tickets today - I'm on the David Ford mailing list :)
Are you suggesting Duke might put in an appearance? Or just that we might be interested cos it's David Ford???

i'm guessing that the duke isn't playing now then seeing as this post has been moved!
From what i understood the gig they did together a while back was arehersal for this.. maybe it became too public knowledge.
Either that or they're trying to bury the post so it's still a surprise....
Still it should be rather good.

Been listening to some of the recordings from previous Milk and Cookies sessions. I would LOVE to be there. Will be such a great night I would say. Almost worth a trip over I think.
Well seeing as Im being dragged over for George Michael I think I could make the effort for Mr Ford :)

I thought everyone was my friend!! Thats what the men in the white coats tell me. You mean they are not?? :? :!:
oh dear.... time to rethink my entire life.
eerrrrrr no. mr ticket-selling-man would be like the guy that lives in your fridge and turns the light on... cept he lives in the ticketmaster site and gives you tickets.
sigh.
you got a ticket-selling-man who is a friend?

I wish!
There is a ticket selling man in Lisburn of all places who gives out free tickets to gigs if they do not sell out before he clloses on the night of the gig.
He was generous enough to offer me tickets to a BellX1 show in Lisburn that night only I had already pre booked my tickets with the venue! :x
I will learn from my mistakes surely...

He's no friend of mine cos he allows takes a good chunk for himself
Booking fee my arse.
Like the sound of this Lisburn chap though, does he only give out tickets for Lisburn gigs? :)

If you go to Mr ford's website you'll find that there's also now two extra dates in the sleepy town of Lewes on England's South Coast for which tickets are a fiver and booked through emailing Mr Ford's mummy...

I've had an email today from Bush Hall saying that tickets for the 20th Dec Bush Hall gig go on sale on 28th November. I was under the impression they'd already sold out!
"Tuesday 20th December, 7:30pm ?9.50
Tickets on sale 28th November
DAVID FORD
David Ford is a distinct and individual talent who very much deserves to be heard. And he deserves to be heard on his own estimable terms. "I always want to write songs as if no one's ever written a song before," he says. "I certainly try not to be influenced by other lyricists. You can take musical influences, but lyrical influences you should only ever take from yourself. My editing process is about having a very serious, stern talk with myself and saying, ?This is your legacy. When you're dead, people will judge you on this and this alone.'" On the strength of this impressive debut, he needn't worry so far.

Better late than never - I wrote a review of this which has only just gone online as it was lost for a while in cyberspace. It's here: http://www.egigs.co.uk/index.php?a=11431 if anyone wants to read it!
