I saw them at Oxegen 2005...I enjoyed them, even if you don't like their music they're good to watch. So humble on stage...

start with "set list" that will give you a great idea of what to expect.
most of their best known and best loved songs are on "dance the devil" and i guess they will be playing some material from their latest album "the cost".
although i imagine this will be more of a greatest hits gig saying as they played all "the cost" songs when they played the ulster hall quite recently.
For the birds is definately their best album i think, get the cost too, i saw them last month in belfast and they played quite a few from it, also get glen hansards solo effort (he's the lead in the band), its called swell season and he plyed a few from it, it's one of the best albums i have, its fantastic, dance the devil and burn the maps are also class!
they'll usually play:finally, happy, revelate, fake, what happens when the heart just stops, lay me down, fitzcarraldo, god bless mom, star star, cant wait tll the 21st december!
Yip, I meant to reply to this earlier. I would definately agree with starting on Dance the Devil and moving onto For the Birds (thats what I did) As sneaky says, the majority of fans would class FTB as their best album to date but dont let that put you off the new album the cost cos it is fantastic live. Also check out their official site www.theframes.ie and listen to some of their older songs if you get the chance, songs like 'the dancer' are rare but definate treats at live shows!
Also as merten4mcgruffin said listen to The Swell Season, its really beautiful album. I was listening to a few tracks off it last night for the first time in ages and songs like 'The Moon' and 'Lies' are definate stand out tracks.
Incidently has anyone bought the new oxfam charity album 'The Cake Sale'?

The Frames, like the Duke, are a band I got into after seeing them support The Divine Comedy, in this case at Dublin Castle for the Heiniken Green Energy festival a few years ago.
They are great live and I love the few CDs I've got too, Dance The Devil, For the Birds and Setlist. Favourite tracks are Star Star, Lay Me Down and Pavement tune :)
