Piano Novice

What a thrill it was to see the Duke in Derry. I started playing piano (after a 30year break) and I was really impressed by the Dukes style. Does anyone on the board play and can they suggest any tips on playing - do I play chords or melodies or do I combine both. Is it good practice to follow the printed sheet music? Perhaps, if the Duke is reading, he could comment.

Sorry I have no piano advice for you, I'd love to be able to play piano, something I never even considered, until I discovered Duke Special that is :wink:

There are couple of performances on the video page where you can see exactly what he is playing and maybe get a feel for his style. Hope that is of some assistance, good luck and welcome on board :)
