Ooh speaking of Mr Waits, I meant to ask this a while ago.... Has anyone got a recording of Duke covering Martha per chance? He played it in the Olympia recently and my word it was unreal! :D

Seeing as this has come up time and time again I feel I must mention it now...

I have been to a variety of Duke gigs in numerous venues throughout this land and I have seen people with video cameras, microphones, video mobiles etc etc the list goes on.
And when people here want to view/trade videos and audio samples on this board there is a high lack of sharing...

Is all there is really on "google video" and "youtube" ???

Hi, I'm VERY reluctant to answer this. I made a recording of the Olympia gig though and indeed it was fantastic. I have a mono recording of Martha which is unfortunately marred by me singing tunelessy in the background. I'll be very happy to pass it on but please remember it is kind of ruined by my singing and whooping etc. PM me with an email address and I'll send it on.

After listening to the Martha cover last week, I spent all weekend singing it... it is such an amazing song... It was really odd though, cos over the wkend I had my own Martha moment... not quite 40 years (:roll: ) but had one very unexpected catch up call.

A lot of other forums have a bootlegs section.
It's probably impossible to control and accepted by most artists.
Would be interesting to hear what Duke's opinion is on that.
All we have is a great recording - on a mobile - of Video Killed the Radio Star........class 8)
