View Full Version : Dermot O'Leary
I know the information is stated elsewhere that Duke is to perform a session on Dermot's show on Radio 2 next Saturday (4.30 - 6.30pm) but if you look up Dermot's page on R2 there is an hilarious photo of Duke making him look like an untamed, caged beast.....not the gentle charming gent we know and love!
I'll be listening in though.
xx
PS Dermot played Last Night I Nearly Died yesterday before the live session by Divine Comedy.

Dermot O'Leary is an excellent presenter. A real natural.
Pretending to care.........just shows how good he is at what he does.
PS. The TV off button is readily accessible.
Personally didn't watch a minute of the latest BB and intend to keep it that way.
Nor IACGMOOH nor most other 'reality' shows.

trust me, the 'off' button is readily available and used with vigilence when reality shows hit my screen. however as much as one tries to avoid said pap, it never goes away, and the chances of catching some of it when at a freinds house or when my sister has the remote is high.
Oh here, here!
Reality shows USED TO be part of my TV viewing but not now.
The OFF button is deployed in favour of a good book or just a session on't internet or sleep................zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Attack being the surest form of defense?
Hehe....... you little tinker :D
I heard a trailer last night & Dermot said his guest was
"The Duke Spirit"....either that was some kind of joke
or I mis-heard it.....anyone else hear the Radio 2 AD ?
EDIT : Just heard the AD again...he definately says "The Duke Spirit"
Poor show Dermot
I've heard of a band called The Duke Spirit....maybe he was standing in HMV at the time and the little white tickets were side by side? :?

Enjoy,
Steve.
Great Performance on Saturday :D
Yes, excellent performance. Loved the Bowie cover!
Dermot did definitely announce The Duke Spirit though - I heard the trailer just before his show which played out a bit of one of their songs :(
Most odd AD wasn't it, someone at the Beeb messed up there :P
Chips demo of his stick was GREAT :D

The duke spirit have been around for 2 or 3 years, pretty good outfit, mainly guitar driven with a lovely sounding female vocalist, some forum members may enjoy their stuff but there are quite a few similair sounding acts.
Dukes Bowie cover was exceptional and it was good to hear him (and Chip) chat too.

Hey... In Dermot's defence... he had obviously done a bit of homework since he'd read Duke's blog about drink and touring and knew Duke liked "beetroot"???
That's like something a real fan would know...
The Duke spirit reference must have been lazy researching on someone elses part!!!
Ok so my love of Duke and Dermot are influencing what I write... but what a treat... eh?? :smt007
