It's come to my attention lately that there are Russia-based sites selling music on mp3 for pittence without relinquishing any royalties to bands or labels. The most famous is <certainwebsite> but I've come across one lately selling:
SFTDF for a mere $1.88 FOR THE FULL ALBUM :!:
The WHOLE divine Comedy back catalogue
Oppenheimer and various other artists
I'm not going to encourage this by mentioning the site's name but I urge people not to use sites like these. Believe me the artists and small labels see NOTHING of the little money they charge, it all goes into their back pocket, never mind that they've no right to do it. Unfortunately it's legal in Russia although Illegal in the rest of the world.
And it's not like no one's using it, I stumbled across the site while looking up Duke Special in google and it ranked pretty highly...
