As someone who has had to suffer xx years of seeing his nation underachieve on the football front (Italia 90 and Euro 96 aside), I'd just like to say how pleased I am that you guys can show what hard work and determination (mixed with ability) can do for the cause!

I'm envious, well done NI!!!!

Congratulations to Northern Ireland. That was a top result and made me smile amidst my decorating activities last night!
:)

Personally I couldn't give a stuff what England and / or their fans get up to. Football begins and ends with Newcastle United for me. Not much fun at the minute like, admittedly!

There's a popular theory going around that England are like the toon, Geordie, loads of loyal fans who are content with underachievment!

What's the population of Northern Ireland? Leichtenstein is 33,987! Makes even more laughable when the England team get beaten by countries like Andorra- (did they? I have no idea, only like watching men playing with odd shaped balls). :)

Didn't want to get my facts wrong so just checked the beeb sport pages. 2-1 against Sweden is fantastic. Now that does get me watching when its the likes of Sweden and Holland playing. And perversely I supported ITaly in the last World Cup, MUCH to my old workmates' disgust....
