pork, peppers, onion, apple, soy sauce, and rice would make a good stir fry.
brie (at room temp) to follow, with white choc. after.
Then eggs and cornflakes next morning.... Good luck
How about a tortilla?
Peel enough potatoes, cut them into 1cm dice and fry until brown......oh, you don't mention oil or butter........hmm..anyway if there is some oil, fry them in that but only a little of it, then add chopped onion and peppers and cook gently, then add enough beaten eggs to cover the veg, a small slice or two of brie on top would be nice. Cook on the hotplate until the egg is almost set then place the pan under a hot grill to cook the top......a vegetarian treat 8)

Drop the pork and score some mushrooms and tomatoes for another vegetarian treat.
Potato, Vegetable and Brie Frittata
Ingredients:
4 eggs
2 large potatoes
4-5 mushrooms
1 med red onion
1 crushed garlic clove
1 pepper (green or red)
2 tomatoes
150 grams of Brie
grated cheese
Method:
1. Peel the potatoes and cut into four, boil gently for 10mins.
2. Finely chop the onion and pepper.
3. Slice the mushrooms and tomatoes (discard seeds).
4. Drain the cooked potatoes and slice thinly.
5. Heat pan, add oil and cook the potatoes over a medium to high heat until they begin to brown. Remove them from the pan.
6. Add the vegetables and cook on a medium heat for about 8 minutes.
7. Break the eggs into a bowl and gently beat. Add salt and pepper.
8. Add the potatoes and garlic (sliced and crushed) to the pan and then pour over the eggs.
9. Cut or tear the brie and scatter into the egg mixture.
10. Cook for 15-20 minutes at a low to medium heat.
11. Place the frying pan under a medium hot grill so that the top of the frittata is cooked. (roughly 3mins) You should now have a firm egg and vegetable mixture.
12. Remove the frittata from the heat and sprinkle the grated cheese evenly over the top of the frittata. Replace the frittata under the heat and let the cheese melt and turn slightly brown.

Thanks for all of the above!
Alas this residence doesn't have a grill nor an oven so the likelyhood of a stir fry seems to be high at the moment.
However I have one question... in the "likely" event of not having a grill could I not just fire the frittata / tortilla onto a plate and then back onto the pan otherside down? That's what I usually do with omlettes...

Sure, just make sure it's cooked through well enough before trying to flip it.
You may also have to omit the grated cheese at the end but it's not crucial.
Good luck and bon appetit....

Yea, well seeing as my pan is tiny it looks like its going to be a tortilla / frittata and sure we'll see how she turns out!
As for the Bon appetite thing... People over here think we are extremely rude because we don't say anything before we tuck in. I just told them it was our culture...
Or are we supposed to say anything...?
