Do you have a favourite Duke song?

A lot of people have mentioned their favourite Duke song at some point on the forum (and it always seems to be a really hard choice), but do you have a favourite - either the song itself, or one you really like to perform? Or is that too much like asking you to choose between your children?

Careless Heart!

Well actually my favourite changes all the time - depending what mood I'm in but I do love Careless Heart and From Clare to Here.

Generally it tends to be the most recent song I have written but I do go through phases of enjoying revisiting an older song. I think that's part of the reason I chop and change the line up of the band because the different players and combinations bring out different colours in the songs and help me get back inside their skins.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I've said before that it's a hard choice, but my favourite is Freewheel, purely because every time you see it performed (either live or on Youtube, etc.) it is so different, and there is something new to take from the song. One of the great things about the live shows is you never know how a song is going to be performed, or what you will take away from the performance, so different from just listening to a CD. Although just listening to a CD is pretty good too :)
