chart success

hi duke absolutely loved the gigs in camden and at the scala
my question is

do you want chart success or are you happy with the success your having now ?

maybe all you fans could buy diggin from itunes on the same week just to see what happens

I would be lying to say that I didn't want my music to be listened to and enjoyed by many people. I really am wondering what success is though, I mean so much of what is "successful" is as much to do with a well orchestrated and expensive marketing campaign as much as it is to do with the music itself. Not always but often. I think the music industry is changing so much too and more of the onus is on the artist or band themselves to create a presence with their fans. Success for me is being able to keep making music till the day I drop but on my own terms, growing, developing, having a family and a life at the same time.

Many of the comments made about you on the forum applaud your accessibilty to your fans, in person and through your music. I applaude your integrity and wish you continued success on your own terms.
Oh btw you definately already have a presence with your fans
