If you could choose to be a musician of any kind in any era of music what would it be?

Personally I'd be a drummer in a 1950's skiffle band... or just a general noisemaker during the recording of Pet Sounds.

I would love to either be a sax player in the blues era, or piano with sinatra. Of course it would help if I could play eiether of these instruments but hey I can dream

I would have thought it would have been HELL being a musician for Brian Wilson around that time (I presume you're actually referring to SMILE rather than PET SOUNDS? I'm not aware of bizarre noises on PET SOUNDS beyond the obvious Theramin).
