Dukes little notebook

Duke, in the past I've seen you play with a little book at the piano which appears to be your personal 'songbook'. Does this little notebook contain lyrics to your songs and chords or can you let me into a secret piano arrangement technique you are using?

Hi, I am posting to keep Tmcgartland's wee post company- 'cos heck that's the way Duke Special fans are.
On a totally random (wrong) guess I deduce the special book to be
a)- some light reading for when maestro Duke gets bored mid gig
b)- something to hide behind to temporarily shield him from a flock of heads with weird ear attire staring back at him ( where did it all go wrong Duke Heffner? Where???)
c)- Chip has written ALL the songs and Duke doesn't actually know the words so it's his prompt book.

Hey- I'm right. I know I am. Go on- say it's not true Duke - I CHALLENGE you.
