View Full Version : Dublin Gig
Does anyone know if tickets are available yet for the Dublin gig?
They don't seem to be on Ticketmaster yet.
Cheers,

Well, the gig last night in Whelans was the business! The place was heaving (would have been close enough to a sell out, maybe 50 shy?) compared to the last Whelan's gig (which was about 70). The word is spreading. Ollie Cole from Turn got up with Peter and they played 'Waltz No. 2' by Elliott Smith (Ollie sang and played acoustic guitar; Peter played keyboard and did the backing vocals). I saw Juliet Turner in the dressing room, and heard a female singing a song with Peter but I couldn't see well enough to see if it was Juliet (though I presume it was). TSCB was great as usual. Opened with '...Scarlet'. If the MiniDisc turned out OK, I'll try and host a couple of tunes somewhere online, unless I hear from management to say it's not OK, of course. 'Brixton...' was also played as was 'Freewheel', 'I Let You Down...', 'Maps' (by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs) and 'Slip of a Girl'. A host of new songs were also aired, but as I only got the new album (what a funky artefact!), at the gig, I don't know which ones.
It's funny...the Whelan's show previous to the last night ended with a bunch of setlists sitting on the stage post show, right through to the end of the club night. I took one then. I'd say that didn't happen last night. Someone's star is ascending...
