'Wake up Scarlet'

Well, just back from the gig and wow was it worth it!

Where do I start...some great local support from Misterlee and Tiger Mc's....two very original and quality supports...well received and supported by a then half full venue.

Gary Dunne....first time listening for me on this tour but had the pleasure of hearing him before in Dublin.....five great songs! Top notch guitar and sampling! Boy can he play! Highly recommended and check him www.garydunne.com

Onto the main man...but before he took to the stage...Peter took receipt of some rather nice 'Box Sets' courtesy of Paul! Wah hey.....I was then presented with the first one! How lucky! These things are amazing...with fantastic artwork...a real gem.Will dust off my turntable forthwith.....

Chip looks even chirpier than usual...maybe because he is playing his newly received drum kit. Pete looks a tad nervous but after the opening tinkle of 'Scarlet' we are away.....highlights include 'Slip of a Girl' and 'Freewheel'.....Duke has to answer a call of nature so Chip jumps in quick and gives us all an impromptu 'Cheese Grater and Whisk' lesson! Just long enough for the neccessaries!Awesome...

A vibrant but noisy crowd beckon the lads back onto the stage for a three track encore....finishing with 'Salvation Tambourine' to raptous applaud! Leicester is craked and seccumbed the 'Special' treatment!

May I thank my fellow 'mover and a groover' on the barrier... and for the lone of her pen...You know who you are..so thanks.x Anyway Leicester is that rough....

You lucky people of Manchester are next....enjoy
