Hi Folks,
My Auntie Annies photos are available to view here:
http://www.stephenlynn.co.uk/gallery/music/DukeAuntyAnnies/

To be honest, I'm surprise by the quality of them, as I was at the very back (with the rest of the *great* board crowd! You know who you are!).
Lander, I'm sorry I didn't get up to you - you must have been one of the hardcore, fighting off the women with your elbows! I really don't understand how you managed to stay there!

You can all see from this photo:
http://www.stephenlynn.co.uk/gallery/music/DukeAuntyAnnies/images/dsc_1487.jpg
what our vantage point of the gig was... :(
But in all seriousness, it was a great, great gig!
Conor, ConorClaire, Scott et al, I'll be seeing you in the near future!

nice photos steve. you did well there considering auntie annie built her attic room with those big pillars in front of the stage!!!

despite traipsing around the ormeau road at three in the morning, i am in work before nine! :!:

i await other people's slightly less professional photos with baited breath!

someone always wants to know all the ins and outs of the gig so it started off with...

everybody wants a little something

after that in no particular order...

this could be my last day,
freewheel,
portrait,
brixton leaves,
slip of a girl,
wake up scarlett,
last night i nearly died,
i let you down,
stumble and fall [razorlight cover],
no cover up,
quiet revolutionary,
people are strange [doors cover]

then ending with "last song of the night" salvation tambourine

a lot of people stole set lists off the stage so someone out there will have this all in a logical order...

the players were...
duke special (piano, vox and wee radio)
ben hales (percussion, guitar, bass, vox)
ben castle (clarinet, sax)
paul wilkinson (percussion, guitar, bass, vox)
temperance society chip bailey (percussion, drum kit, whisk, grater, etc)

Great gig last night. Howvever, the crowd was extremely rude for the two supporting acts. I really just wanted them to shut up so I could listen to the Pixie girl. Also, does anyone know what her myspace is to listen to more. I mean her name is Pixie, it's not the rarest name.

sorry i didnt get to hang around for the boardie shot folks, i had some lady business to take care of.

i was indeed fighting away at the front. elbowing people off is a tad more difficult when you only have one elbow in use.

lovely to meet some of you folks in person, i look forward to meeting the rest of you next time. will get photos up as soon as i can be arsed.

what a gig though...

Much thanks goes out to Lander and his lady friend, as they were the ones who made it possible for me to take photos of the Duke... even if it was only for 10 mins due to some *cough cough* people behind...

The camera doesnt seem to want to connect to the drive so it may be tomorrow before I get them up guys :D

Great shots Steve.

Perfect exposure and great contrast in conversion. Love the long exposure piano shot, have taken a few of them but never tried at a gig. Tripod?

Ah sorry, less shop talk - great shots anyway :D

Haha isn't exactly the best thing to be remembered by, being the other nicotine head. But yeah, glad I could make you feel a little more comfortable.

All in all, it was a great night. Made even better by the fact that I was dragged down just for 'a few pints'. Saw him at the Lisburn gig not so long ago, and it must be said that Auntie Annie's was a lot better. Pity we couldn't hear much of the supporting acts, but hey, we were there to see the Duke.
