Critics' picks:
Pop Duke Special
If you can get past his dreadful haircut, there's lots to admire in Duke Special's florid, ornate songs. The Glee Club, Birmingham, tonight.
Obviously not everyone likes the dreadlocks!
Nice to get a recommendation, though.

No - that text was all there was. It's a little space-filling bit they have next to the music/theatre review at the back. I could scan it in but I'm not sure it's worth the effort for three lines of text.
In trying to find it on the Guardian site I did also find this (http://arts.guardian.co.uk/theatre/drama/story/0,,2009361,00.html), however. Someone on their arts staff obviously likes what they've heard.

>>Peter Wilson's florid songwriting, complete with vaudevillian piano, bears comparison to Rufus Wainwright, though it's doubtful Wainwright would ever be seen sporting dreadlocks. There's a lot to admire here, the excellent, arch lyrics in particular.
? King Tut's Wah Wah Hut, Glasgow (0141-221 5279), tonight<<
And the immense fun of seeing the band live on stage. Twas a great night at Tut's, too. :) Its just dawned on me - that night, the Duke was visiting the King lol.
