For anyone in the belfast area, long term collaborator Rea Curran and Duke will be performing some songs old, new and borrowed and the Rotterdam bar, Belfast on Thursday 26th April. Going under the name A Special Mess it promises to be a chance to hear some great music in arguably Belfast's best bar. Door from nine. Small door tax applies.

hey folks i cant stand myspace so next secret gig can someone whip the info here or by pm or something please. Ever since the ulster hall gig i have been itsching to get to another 1 !!!!

oh and the waterfront gig is annoying since tickets that are free are on ebay at present for ?80 a pair !!!!

On the wee sheet I got it said that the seats were not allocated and it was on a first come basis.

I thought they had oversubscribed so there was no 100% garuntee??

ugh i have no intention of giving some greedy scumbag ?80 just because he phoned up the beeb and asked for tickets. The funny thing is, they keep saying that there is a genuine reason for not being able to go, why sell them on ebay instead of giving them to beeb or wanted section then ?

That's true, but like I said, if you turn up early, you're pretty much certain to get a seat. I can't see 1200 people turning up at 6pm.

there genuine fan makes a small bit of effort (since finding duke fans aint hard :) )
apparently the beeb are fairly annoyed but as usual with this sort of touting nonsense there is nothing they can do

its the same for all beeb events, the people who actually want to see the event turn up a little before the doors and then the people who got tickets for the craic of it turn up ages after the doors open and then yap about being turned !

Great gig in the Rotterdam the other week, really enjoyed some of the new songs, Love's Connection (thinks thats what it was called) was great. Really enjoyed Rea's stuff as well, is he on myspace?
