I'll start the ball rolling with "Lucky" originally by Radiohead. :)
What others? Feel free to add as many as you like!
I think this is going to be a big one! :)

Letter to Hermione - David Bowie
or The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down, followed by Different For Girls - Joe Jackson
Slightly easier to choose when you don't have to just vote for one ;)

Hmm, might be test to stick with covers that's he's recorded! A live covers list would be far too long...

Even Better Than The Real Thing? :p Now that would be an awesome cover!
My nomination has to go for "I drove All Night" though, . . . WOW!

Counting it as a kind of recording and only because I've watched the programme recently, I'd have to say Mastermind and The Winner Takes It All which Peter performed with Neil Hannon on RTE's 'The View'. The feeling he puts into both of them surpasses that of the originals, which is pretty much my criteria for a great cover. As for live... there are just too many to mention!

Just too hard to pick one or even two, but I'm enjoying them all at the moment, in wait for the next originals!
