Was really hoping to get to this especially when I heard Duke was playing at it but money was becoming scarce so I couldn't believe my luck when I ended up on FM 104 last night live on air for a competition to win 2 tickets...after about 2 hours of waiting they called out my name as the winner! Yippeee...really can't wait, sounds like a great venue at the foot of mountains in Cork :D I'm a very very happy girl :D

Terrific that you can go after all Niamhy - I doubt there is a more energetic fan around to enjoy it than you will. Hope that you'll post a wee report after the festival - try as we might, none of us including Fizzys can be everywhere in Dukeland but we do like to keep up :o

I'm so jealous- Mitchelstown is twenty minutes away from where I live and I had planned on going but I have to work - God damn hospitality industry!!!

Well Duke was on top form at the festival, the energy in the tent was electric! I also recruited a new fan for him. She was standing beside me before he came on wondering who he was. He was a bit late coming on and she was about to go but I didn't let her and she didn't regret it - after his first song she turned around and said "Wow - he's got me!" :D

He played a real mix of his songs to everyone's delight, the crowd just loved it, especially the stage dive at the end.

I left work at 4pm on Friday to go to this...car broke down in Portlaoise so had to get a train and then a taxi to the festival, didnt put our tent up until 1:30am! Was worth it though, great weekend! :D

You sometimes have to suffer a little for Art but so glad you could make it and report back.

I keep saying that although we do post a lot, we are by no means the most enthusiastic or evangelistic of Duke's fans. The numbers keep growing and you are a good case in point! :o

So glad you made it there and had a good time. I hope your car worries weren't major and are easily fixed!

It's moments like these that make the best memories, we just journeyed on with a quiet determination and it all came together, hadn't a clue where we were going or how to get there...car cost €100 to fix (we blew the radiator!)...it's an old car but I love it so was so happy to hear it's fixed :).. the worst part was having to carry the beers in our haversacks!

At least when you post you have photos and videos to share with everyone...I have yet to master this task

We have learned a bit of techie stuff to be sure but we meet up with friends and new fans all the time who are every bit as excited as we are to be at a DS gig but who never use a PC. A few words or piccies to share are nice but everyone that enjoys Duke's music is a fan to welcome equally :)

If you do need help to post an particularly special (or Special) picture help is at hand - just PM or post!

Well, it has been known for me to be green around the gills young Jodie, but it was the massive smile I was thinking of - as you know now you've seen the clip haha!

Duke certainly was on top form that day,he nearly broke my nose when he dived from the stage, which I reminded him of at the castleblayney gig:D
