Forget that for now Salp, the UK album buying public are still too influenced by NME and Radio 1....hence all the Amy Winehouse, Killers and Kaisers rubbish in there....oh, and we mustn't forget the contribution Lily Allen is making to British music must we

we have inlaws staying with us (arrived yesterday, staying for the week) from the UK and they have not heard of Duke Special ('kin heathens). After telling them of our days in Belfast they are in for a week of Duke music and education!!

i think lily allen gets a bit of a raw deal just because she is a female and has a famous dad. musically and lyrically what she is doing is not *that* much different to what mike skinner did a few years back with the streets and he was heralded as the saviour of british music.

I'm in a really bad mood cos Leya have split up, anyone who has made it cos of past releases, image or 'who they know' are fair game for me this week.....sorry.

Oh, and did I say that Snow Patrol are dull (cheers Gary, you could've offered Leya your support, they may have got to the masses and things may've been different)

Nope, I'm saying thay should've offered support slots for their UK mainland tour. Ciaran (Leya's singer) guested on Eyes Open....it could've made all the difference

In fairness, Gary has spoken out for Leya in the past. I have read quite a few where he has mentioned them.
