What a great idea! My question is a simple one to ask...but maybe not quite so simple to answer at the moment...Duke have you got any plans for another UK tour this year? After enjoying my first DS gig in Derby last weekend I can't wait for the next one! Have even spent the evening exploring flights to Glasgow for Sunday's gig but alas, try as I might it is sadly not feasible! So any plans to tour the UK again soon i wonder/hope?

I am just home from the tour which went great! I hope to play some of the festivals in the summer but nothing definite yet. I am also planning my own festival near Belfast at the end of August so watch this space for that. May and June are going to be writing for me as well as some European dates with BellX1 and Duffy.

What a great Bank Holiday treat...a reply from the Duke himself! Thank you Peter, the festivals I won't make but I am sure that some kind kind person will put some footage on here. The Belfast festival sounds intriguing. I've never been over to Ireland, and I can feel a trip over there beckoning!
Pleased that you're home safely from the tour. Have a few days of rest before the European stint. You certainly deserve it. AND... thanks for the reply. Indebted!Btw... Poppiesfan...I don't know of 'The Donkey' in Leicester, but as its relatively close (2.5 hours). so 'do-able', to me may I join your campaign? Lol! |

![]() I went there for the first time a few weeks ago - Seth Lakeman. It's a small venue - about 200 capacity I think - with a small stage. I don't know why but I just thought it would suit Duke and co. Might be completely wrong - he'd hate it and his set might not work but you never know! |

If you are looking at summer festivals, then it would be great to see you at the Latitude Festival in Suffolk in July. It is not simply a music festival; it combines a wonderful selection of the arts - poetry, theatre, music and film, literary, cabaret and comedy. There is even a stage in the woods ... perfect for Songs from the Deep Forest! It would be great to see you there.

There is the great folk/transport museum at Cultra, the magnificent Mourne mountains, the Antrim Coast with the amazing Giant's Causeway, the stretches of pure white beaches on the North coast. I could go on and on.... ![]() The only think I can't guarantee is the weather.

Now it's just a matter of gathering the finances to make it happen again so quickly. Anyone willing to donate their frequent flier miles?

I'm goning to formally put in request for some more under 14 gigs or matinees. My kids are huge fans and is so funny hearing them sing in the irish accent. AM also a recent convert but made it to 4 of the gigs, including the fab sun am gig in glasgow!! Sublime
