Pledge for Duke Special!
Seasonal greetings from Duke Special HQ!
On Tuesday 8 December, (tomorrow), at 9.00am, we’ll be announcing an exciting new venture via PLEDGE MUSIC.
As we now have no record label and are taking a DIY approach, we’ll be offering all sorts of unusual Duke artefacts and experiences for which fans can pledge varying amounts to help raise funds. It also offers fans the opportunity to participate in the emergence of the three new Duke Special releases via bonus music, demos, rough mixes, live tracks, videos, tour diaries and photographs from the road.
Some of the funds raised will go towards building a team of promotional people to work on the new Duke releases at press, radio, TV and online.
Duke is also planning some extravagant concerts, the cost of which exceeds the income we’ll receive, so further funding will help realise these tours which are due to take place in May and June.
(Although some of you in mainland Europe and parts of the USA will see Duke before then! More info shortly!)
Finally, some of the money raised will go to Duke’s charity of choice - Depaul Ireland. Depaul Ireland is a fresh and dynamic cross-border charity which offers homeless and disadvantaged people the opportunity to fulfill their potential and move towards an independent and positive future.

1. Anyone who has already bought any or all of the Hector Mann, Huckleberry Finn and Mother Courage CDs, as well as current members of the Digital Fanclub, will automatically get the Pledge bonuses mentioned above without having to make a pledge - we’re always keen to reward your loyalty in every possible way! Just send us an email to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) asking to join Pledge if this applies to you.
2. Anyone who makes a pledge for items over £50 can choose a free download of one of the new Duke Special albums (please specify which).
3. We’ve set up a “Pledge Questions” section on the messageboard for anything that isn’t clear, here.
4. The Pledge offer will last for 60 days.
5. Pledgers will be sent their goods anytime after the Pledge has ‘tipped’ and met it’s target number. We won’t charge any cards until that point is reached. Nothing will be sent out this side of Christmas
